After 73 of travel throughout the country, visiting various restaurants, I can say that this is the best combination of outstanding food and friendly atmosphere that I have ever encountered. Jeff & Jeni Hinkle were very gracious hosts ( as was Cannon).
I can say without doubt this is the best food I have ever had in a restaurant. While the business is located in an out of the way town, it is definitely worth a side trip.
Try this exceptional restaurant. You won't be disappointed! -

If u are in there area and don't check this place out u are missing out big time. I live 3 hours away and as I sit here writing this I'm think about if it's worth the drive to bring my family back. And the fact that I am even considering it means it probably is! If it were closer to home I would eat here everyday....nuff said

My husband and I were super disappointed in this place. First of the waitress was unpleasant and kind of bossy. Every customer that came in she would say "you can't sit there" or "if you do you have to leave by 12:30". Secondly we order a buffet that we had to pick our pizzas to be made, so we might as well just ordered a pizza for ourselves. Finally, the last straw was the long piece of hair that was baked into the cheesecake crust. We told the same waitress and she just said "ok" and took the desert away. Didn't apologize or anything. Thankfully we don't live in the area, but if we pass by in the future we will definitely not be stopping by or recommending to anyone else.

I was very excited to eat at Gusto's, but it was quite a disappointment.
They were famous for their high quality menu, but this meal was unsatisfactory for our party of three.
One of us ordered a chopped salad with avocado, bacon, tomatoes, blue cheese and boiled eggs. It was served on a bed of shredded taco lettuce with four or five bacon bits, no avocado and a crumbled boiled egg yolk. Major disappointment.
One of us had the baked spaghetti which was not bad. But a very small portion.
One of us had the classic Caesar salad and a an order of baked meatballs. The meatballs had been forgotten by the cook, so they arrived as we were finishing our meal. We think the meatballs tasted as if they were precooked and reheated.
The flies were out of control - then we realized the restaurant didn't employ those fly light traps that are used everywhere now and flies have ceased to be a problem in modern establishments.
There was only one other table occupied, so we assumed our orders wouldn't be a big deal. But it just didn't go well at all. The waitress never did return to see if we needed anything else after delivering our last plate.
It may have been an off day - I hope it was - but Shadduck can use a few nicer restaurants and the prices at Gusto's reflect a much better meal than we were given. -

Had an MRI so we thought we would get to Shattuck a little early to grab a bite to eat. This place rocked it. I had the Mac and cheese. Will be back. Thank you to the beautiful girl who took great care of us.
